School Joining Instructions - Trevassack Lake

Number one

Where to go:

Trevassack Lake, Helston, TR12 6LH

What3words: ///pirates.multiples.goofy

Trevassack Lake is situated on the Lizard Peninsula, between Garras and Goonhilly, about 5 miles south of Helston.

Once you’ve driven through Garras, turn right at the brown and white tourist sign called “Trevassack Lake & Cafe”, almost opposite two large granite gateposts to Trelowarren and follow the road carefully for half a mile. Ignore the small Trevassack sign to the farm on your right, instead you will come to the entrance to Trevassack Lake, clearly signed on your left with a sail boat planter just before the car park.

Please park at the free to use main car park and follow the path past the barrier down to the lake. The first building on your left as you round the corner is the Watersports Hub.

The whole site is wheelchair-friendly.

We have plenty of changing facilities with showers and toilets and two registered ‘Changing Places’.

Number two

When to arrive:

Arrival

The dates and times of the specific sessions can be obtained from the participating school. Where possible, please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the course to sign in with the CST Staff at the Watersports Hub and allow time for the participants to get changed.

Signing In

The school is required to provide a ‘Session Coordinator’ for each session. At the beginning of each session, the Session Coordinator will provide an accurate register of participants to the CST Duty/Safety Officer or CST Senior Instructor. The CST Activity Team provide the duty of care throughout the activity. Upon the end of the session, the CST Activity Team will hand over responsibility for the registered participants back into the care of the nominated Session Coordinator.

All under 16 year olds remain the responsibility of either the school or parent/guardian until they are signed in and out of the activity session with CST Staff members on duty at the meeting point. A Session Coordinator must be present during handover times so as not to cause delay to CST operations.

Late Arrivals & Absences

If you need to report an absence or delay on the day itself, please contact us know as soon possible as it can affect operational decisions by calling the office – 01326 702 326.
