Jane grew up in Port Navas and always loved to be on the water.

Jane’s parents had a very old gaff cutter called Otter, on which she spent a lot of time sailing out of the Helford.

Jane’s mother, Mrs Susanne Myers, set up the Helford River Sailing Club many years ago so sailing was always going to be a big feature in Jane’s life.

Jane loved to take her boat out from Calamansac and row around to Bar Beach with her dog for a daily swim, weather permitting.

Jane also loved to walk in Calamansac Woods, especially when the bluebells were out.
