Activity Joining Instructions - Helford River

Where are you coming from?

We have meeting points on both sides of the Helford River, depending on where you are arriving from. The red stars show the main pick up points, with the red droppers indicating other potential south side pick ups, depending on tides.

Number one

Choose:

Choose which side of the river is most convenient for you and then please ensure you have selected your chosen Pick Up Point on the ‘Health & Water Confidence Declaration. Please let us know if this changes at any point to ensure there is space in the powerboat for you.

North Side

CST Sailing Club

Ferry Boat Inn Beach

Ursula’s Boathouse,
Helford Passage, TR11 5LB

Please use the public car park above the Ferry Boat Inn and walk down past the Inn to the beach. Note, there is a seasonal dog ban in place at the Ferry Boat beach.

South Side

Helford River Sailing Club pontoon

Treath,Helford, TR12 6LB
or nearby if low tide*

Please park in the public Helford Village Car Park and walk past the sailing club, around to the pontoon.

Helford River Sailing Club – please wait on the stone quay at the head of the pontoons.

Treath or Golden Gear* – walk along the beach to the right of the quay (10 minutes from the stone quay).

*Tides:

South Side Only
If the tide is low, the pick up boat can’t reach the HRSC pontoon, so we pick you up further along the river – either Treath Beach (walk along river from pontoon) or Golden Gear Steps which can be reached along beachfront or walking the road to the path.

Number two
