Bursary applications open for April 2022

Cornish families who meet the Sports Foundation for the Disabled’s criteria below are invited to apply for the opportunity to have a 3-night short break holiday, including watersports activities during their stay, with the Children's Sailing Trust at Trevassack Holidays near Helston.

Background

Children’s Sailing Trust (CST) is delighted to have been awarded funding from Newquay-based charity, Sports Foundation for the Disabled (SFD), to fund holidays with watersports for Cornish families. SFD supports groups and individuals from Southwest England and Wales to access sporting opportunities and complete sporting challenges.

Families who meet SFD’s criteria below are invited to apply for the opportunity to have a 3-night short break holiday between 17th to 20th April 2022, including watersports activities at the Children’s Sailing Trust’s Trevassack Holidays.

The fully accessible accommodation at Trevassack Holidays has been designed to meet the Equality Act 2010 and to be inclusive for all. The short break holiday will be taken in the fabulous Bradbury House which has been designed and fitted with equipment to cater for all including a ceiling hoist in the one of the bedrooms with en suite fully accessible wet-room, electric profiling bed and a host of other accessible equipment can be provided if required.

CST has watersports at its core and a key element of this Bursary is giving Cornish families with physical and visual challenges a holiday on and by the water. Whatever your ability, you can come and stay at CST’s Trevassack Holidays and take part in watersports activities with your family.
