Virtual Gift: Instantly downloadable donation gift voucher

All young people should have the opportunity to try watersports and sailing. But it’s a chance that many children in Cornwall wouldn’t usually have, despite living so close to the sea. By creating physically and financially accessible watersports sessions, Children’s Sailing Trust works to ensure that all young people can spend time sailing or kayaking. The difference made is immeasurable, particularly for children living with special educational needs and disabilities.

The difference you’ll make

This gift could cover the cost of a subsidised watersports session for one child from a local SEND school on the Helford River or at Trevassack Lake, including the cost of the equipment, vessels and support of our skilled and supportive instructors at a high ratio of instructor to child. It could be a young person’s first ever time on the water; a real chance to forget any worries and inspire a lifetime love of watersports.

“Through sailing my child has discovered a new outdoor activity she really enjoys. She has been able to express her positive feelings about doing the course, which is very unusual for her. On the day she does the session, her anxiety levels are noticeably lower when she gets home.” – Parent of CST sailor

Buying a Children’s Sailing Trust virtual gift supports our life-affirming charity work with young people, whether you choose to keep it for yourself or send it to a friend as a unique gift that does a whole lot of good.

What you’ll get

Once purchased, you’ll be able to access a digitally downloadable donation voucher to immediately download, send across to a loved one or to print at home. If you would prefer a physical copy to be sent in the post, please drop an email to hello@childrenssailingtrust.org.uk and we would be happy to get that sorted for you. Last Christmas posting dates: 10 December 2021.

How virtual gifts help

If you order any of our virtual gifts, you will be making a general donation of the amount you have selected directly to support the work of Children’s Sailing Trust. Neither you, nor the recipient of your virtual gift voucher, will receive the item described above. Your donation will help Children’s Sailing Trust run financially affordable and physically accessible watersports sessions for young people on the Helford River and at Trevassack Lake. The information shown on the virtual gift voucher is a guide only of how your donation will be used.
